Windows 8.1 のインストールメディア作成

Windows 7や8から8.1にアップデートした場合、8.1のインストールディスクが無いと、トラブルが発生した時にリフレッシュや初期化出来ませんでしたが、マイクロソフトからダウンロードしてインストール用のDVDやUSBの作成が出来るようになりました。
Windows 8.1 Pro・無印それぞれ64bit・32bitが有ります。
クリーンインストールもできます。
Windows 8の(アップグレード含む)プロダクトキーで認証可能。

これがあれば、リカバリーした（ Windows 8 に戻す ）時に、毎回ストアからインターネット経由で３Ｇ以上をダウンロードして、Windows 8.1 にアップデートしなくて済みそうですね！

早速、USBとDVDを作りました！

昔，Windows 8 Pro を \3,300 でダウンロードして，アップグレード，
その後，Winndows 8.1 Update1 に更新・・・・

こんな状況下で，待望の「Create installation media for Windows 8.1」
早速，クリーンインストールを試行，上記，プロダクトキーで見事に成功！
行き成り，「Winndows 8.1 Update1」は嬉しい！
ただ，直後のWindows Updateで50近くの更新ファイルが出たり，
数回のアップデートがあったりで結構時間はかかった。
トラブルが発生時のリフレッシュや初期化の際大いに役立ちそう！

Windows 8 から Windows 8.1 に上記 USBメディアを使ってアップグレードインストールを試しました。

結果、Windows 8 無印にリカバリー直後（ Windows Update 未実施 ）にも関わらず、問題なく Windows 8.1 Update にアップグレード出来ました。（喜）

最初、オンライン状態にも関わらずエラーにより認証されていませんと表示され、焦りましたがプロダクトキーを入れると認証されました。（汗）

＊ Windows 8 リカバリー後の Windows Update 不要、ストア経由で 3G 以上のアップデータのダウンロード不要であり、市販の Windws 8 パソコンにも有意義だと思いました。

4GB USBを2本買ってきて作成しようとしたら3.25GBしかないのに弾かれちゃいました。

Windows7 WMP12 について

わたしのメイン機は、Windows7 を使っています。
昨日の Windows Update（ 10月 ）の更新後に WMP を起動すると、初期設定の画面が出ました。
なにげに、簡単設定をして使用しましたが、不思議に思いバージョンを見るとバージョン 12 となっていました。

IE は、以前よりバージョン 11 になっていますが、これで IE 、WMP 共に Windows8 と同じバージョンになりました。
何かマイクロソフトの思惑があるのでしょうか？

なんにせよ、Windows7 と Windows8 の違いが少なくなったのは喜ばしいことだと思います。

8.1proでダウンロードするとenterprise版へ案内されるが、8.1無印だと別ページへリンクされちと驚いた。
わざわざ変えてあるのかな？

久々の英語版だが、windowsもmacも昔から西洋言語の方がカッコよく見える。
メイリオフォントで日本語も少し見栄えが改善されたがマダマダだ。

quadra800の漢字トーク7.1に system7.1をマージインストールしてメニューがボールド調の英語になって見やすいと喜んでたのは4半世紀前！
人の感性は簡単には変わらぬ。
