Pen4とＡｔｈｌｏｎｘ２で戦った期間が長かったようですね。

私はＤｕｒｏｎから始まって、AthlonXP、Athlon64x2、PhenomIIまでAMD一辺倒で、その後FXの悪夢を横目にインテルに浮気Core2Duoからi7 4770kまで、その後にまたAMDに返り咲いてRyzen5 2400Gから2700、そして現在5700Gに至ります。

AMDも昔はRADEONとCFできるAPUとかありましたけどね〜。たいした効果はなかったけど面白かった。

MS-DOSの黒い画面に白い線から始まり、windows3.1→95→98/////とwin11までまあ、OSとともにPC自作の長い旅。
いまだに飽きないのはなぜ？　PC自作って本当に楽しい。

最近自作している人は、昔メモリーはMB単位だった事とか、440BXとか、AOPENとか知らないんだろうな。
northwoodのpen4 とかの頃は、３万円だせば最高のCPU買えたのに、いまや、一番安いのしか買えない。
時代は変わるものですね…。

RADEON 9800とか超なつかしい・・・・。　実は引き出しに今もありますｗ　ＡＧＰをどこに刺すのか！？！？ｗｗ

そうですね息の長いモデルです。
私もまだ使っています。
この休みでM.2を追加してみました。
グレードアップとはいきませんが、さすがに最近のデバイス関係は対応できなくなってきましたね。
BIOSが更新していただけたらよかったのですが・・

M.2スロットはないので、PCI-E経由ですかね。
すごく早く起動しそうですね！
当方はSSDで運用してますが不便ありません。
メモリスロットが１個ダメですが、8x2+4x1 の
変則20GBで運用。特に問題ありません。
さあ、いつまで windows 10で粘れるかですね。
このマシンだけwindowsがproなので、
HYPER-Vでubuntuを入れてあそんでます。

CドライブのSATAのSSDで瞬時止まる不具合が出ていまして、容量アップのつもりで1Tを入れました。
が残念ながらBIOS認識されません。この数日いろいろ試しましたがやはりダメですね。起動用には使えません。
これは、単なるusbメモリかわりにしかならなく残念です。
ブートが使えれば、もう少し使えるのですが。

Crucial のCT960BX	intel SSD

おはようございます。
なるほど、残念ながらうまく使えなかったのですね。
現在、秋葉原でSSDの価格下落がめちゃくちゃで、
以前1.2万円程度だった、crucial のSSD　1TBが
もはや１万円切りは当たり前。
ノーブランドのSSD　２TBが１万円の時代になりました。
旧世代なので、無理してMVMeのM.2を利用するより、
素直にSATAのSSD大容量がおすすめでございます。
特にCrusialは付属ソフトで速度が速くなり、
(momentum cache)
50GB程度のOPを設定すると安定して動作します。
(オーバープロビジョニング）

参考までに、intel のSSD　500GBと
Cruｃial　SSD 1TBのベンチはります。

Crucial のCT960BX はZ77の起動ディスクです。
ソフトウェアで先読みだか、メモリーキャッシュを
なんとかとか、してベンチ数字が速くなってますが、
体感は普通のSSDです。
メイン機のZ590でM.2 MvME Ｇｅｎ４利用。
こちらは7000MB/sで起動もなにもかも超早ですが、
この機能はそこまで早くありません。気持ち速い程度。

N.2は無謀でしたね。
10年前のマザーで可能であれば、すでに実施されている方も多いかと。
情報はあちらこちらで見かけます。既に
SSDもSATA1Gで検討していましたが、急遽M.２になんて浅知恵でした。
教えて頂いたリンク先ですが、既にStorage EXecutiveは既に使用しております。
使い込んできたCT512MX100ですが、ソフトでも異常はみられていないので使用してきました。
そろそろ代替え機を検討する時期なのかとも思っています。

こうやって、Z77のお話ができるだけでも感謝です。
ありがとうございます。

当方も、さすがに最近のゲーム等でZ77+3770K では厳しいと感じ、
11世代で組みました。が、14世代まで待てばよかったと反省。
自作は楽しいので、今後も続けます。

さて、3770K +Z77はいつまでつかえるのだろうか・・・・

全部見たのではないですが、手持ちのASUSマザーボードは全部更新されました。
ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING/ROG STRIX B550-F GAIMING/ROG STRIX X570-F GAMINGと全部更新されていました。
