Would K30d have Camera Profile
into Adobe LightRoom 2?

I have seen that new K-m did not
a Camera Profile into the LR2 or
Photoshop CS4.
I more care for a future K30d,
it should offer a better Camera Profile
than K10d and not as the K-m status.

Pentax's Photo laboratory is poor
software (especially its
interface poor, an image window even
is too small and a size cannot
adjustable, as the RAW processing),
as well as its more problems,
the Pentax's consumers would be
more needs third-party software
than Canon or Nikon consumers.

If Pentax does not effectively
cooperate with third-party software,
more consumers would away from Pentax.

The Camera Profiles and
each manufacturer

In the film era,
some film manufacturers offer
several type films to
a same sensitivity ISO and
a classified, which let consumer
as a choice range to face
the need different.

In the LR2, the Camera Profile would
offer several types as the fiducial
function, and then Canon or Nikon
would easily get theirs respective
several fiducial effect,
which you are just click once mouse
after an image imports.

The Lightroom 2 offered with
Camera Profiles and Adobe Profiles,
which Camera Profile would more help
to user as the advantage,
if you using RAW image not DNG.

with the camera 24 models
(EOS 5D II was included @ 17Nov2008,
it before sales)

with the DSLR 3 models
(only K10d, K20d, K200d,
no K-m and other older model,
which is K-m only as the
Adobe Standard Profile item)

Pentax Camera profile optional items:
Standard (only one item)

When a PEF was imported in the LR2x,
then you would see a name
"Pentax 1.00" on the LR2 menu,
but it could be a bad color,
if you select it, and you will not see
its source, its Camera Profile folder
no item "Pentax 1.00".

Leica M8 Camera Profile:
Standard
(seem 4 items,
but only one "Standard")

Sony DSLR:
no any Camera Profile in the LR2

Olympus DSLR:
no any Camera Profile in the LR2

Panasonic:
no any Camera Profile in the LR2

About Adobe Standard Profiles,
In the LR2x,
$:/Documents and Settings/All Users/
Application Data/Adobe/CameraRaw/
CameraProfiles/Adobe Standard,
there are Adobe Standard Profiles,
it by Adobe himself establish the
Profile. In the Adobe Standard Profiles,
there has over 200-model,
such as Sony, Olympus, etc.

However, $:/Documents and Settings/
All Users/Application Data/Adobe/
CameraRaw/CameraProfiles/Camera,
there are Camera Profiles,
which is Camera manufacturer and Adobe
together with works,
the Camera manufacturer's data
was needed.

This Camera Profiles are
prior, than Adobe profiles.

it is easy and nice in the LightRoom 2.

A Nikon fan has acknowledged that the
LightRoom 2 able to a photo color

PS. LightRoom 2.3RC Plug-in Manager
is invalid, that its interface did not
show any item (a blank window),
which cannot use this Plug-in Manager,
but you can take a manual way to storage
lrtemplate files. This is another bug
of LightRoom 2.3RC.

LightRoom 2.3RC is cost-free to download
its multilanguage has included Japanese.
