Maybe I am wrong, but according to this maker's site:

you can play DVD-videos with region free setting.

yes, you are wrong. the link you gave told us just means MP5120a can make region free disk, but not read any region's disk. In fact, I know the answer now, it's RPC-2 according to http://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/
& http://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/dvd/dvdrf.htm
(RPC-2 = Region locked drive). But you can make your drive region free (RPC-1) by using the patched 1.50 RPC-1 firmware (patch by Dean). Who succeeds in doing it, pls let us know.
