Review of lenovo yoga and Microsoft surface

When it comes to premium laptops that are also 2-in-1 convertibles the Microsoft Surface Book 2 and Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga come from different starting points but end up being very similar.
Which is better? Well, it's not so clear as both have it set of pros and cons. Which of those matter to you is a personal preference, but the critical thing to know is what you are getting into before you click that buy button.
Today, in my smackdown I'll highlight the strengths and weaknesses of both.
Although both laptops turn into tablets each does it different. The Surface Book 2's display famously detaches into a much lighter tablet with a click of a button, while the X1 Yoga flips the display while also retracting the Wave keyboard into the chassis.
From my experience, the Surface Book 2 makes a better tablet due to how light it is, but it is not nearly as convenient. The detaching mechanism is not very quick and, once you remove the display-as-a-tablet, you have a heavy base laying around. Reattaching the display is easy, but there is the extra step of having to line up the guide pins.
