I recommend WindowsXP more than Windows2000.
Because, WindowsXP has a stability like Windows2000.

As ほらさん has pointed out, Iiushaoさん's question does not make sense. There seems to be a confusion about two different versions of OS Windows and MS application packages on them.
With respect to the Windows I do not see any great difference between 2000 and XP. Since Windows2000 has been in use for about three years worldwide, however, it is said that substantial improvements have made and many bugs have been removed. So, you could say 2000 may be more reliable as well as more stable. As to the second question, two machines are quite similar in their capability. Therefore, it entirely depends on your taste.
