just bought Panny 300 DBS tuner last weekend.
iLink with IO 500R.
can do 'timer recording' for the show I want.
but it can't 'stop' if I decide not to record that show.
no matter what buttons I press on 300 and 500R remotes, it just can't stop recording! have to unplug power cable.

anyone can help? thanks.

It might be an initial malfunction
of the player.
So you had better consult the shop
where you bought it.

コレって、常識(一般的)なの。

SONY Panny 以外で東芝や日立、パイオニア等は？

You cann't stop recording by IO HR500R.

Then you should try these.
(1) Try to change the reciving channel by the remote control of Panny 300.
(2) Try to change the channel by the switch on Panny 300.
(3) Turn off the Power switch on Panny 300.
(4) Finally unplug power cable of Panny 300.

If your solution is only (4), you had better buy a Power strip with switches for Panny 300.

皆さんのご意見がどうも。

if I connet 500R with Sony BX500, I can stop recording by pressing power off on BX500 remote. but it's useless with Panny 300.

when connect 500R with Panny 300, in timer recording mode, no matter what buttons I press on remotes (500R/300), just none works! unplug power cord is the only method I know.

Panny は　アメリカのスタイル, パナと同じ。

皆さん、こんばんは。
finally I can stop recording if I don't want that show.
have to press 'power' button on machine itself. if press remote, it won't work. guess probably Panny BHD300 doesn't take remote signal in timer recording mode.
anyway, thanks everyone.

but still can't move to DHX1.......

皆さん、優しいですねー．

しかしこの方本当に英語しか喋れない方なんでしょうか？
もしそうだとしたら，お礼の言い方とか見てもかなり不遜な感じがしますが（really appreciateくらい使いますよ、普通）．

少なくとも日本語混じりのところもあるわけだから，苦労してでもブロークンな日本語で記入すべきですよ．
もしくは誰かに代筆してもらうとか．

逆のパターンだったら相手にもされないですよね．
