友人は間違えてRaidでないこれを買ってくれました。とりあえずRaidなしで３台のWesten Digital のWD5001ABYSを購入しカードにつけてデスクを独立に使いうつもりです。簡単な質問ですが，体験者から，これを実現するには特別な設定が必要ですか？

In short, does this interface card support JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks).

In detail, friend of mine in Japan bought this wrong one which does not support raid. I guess I will use this card anyway without raid. Can I slot in the card's SATAII ports 3 Western Digital 500GB (WD5001ABYS) disks and use the disks individually for storage? Is there special set-up for doing that?

ＢＩＯＳでＢＯＯＴの順番を変える必要があるかも知れません。
BIOSの書き換えでRAIDにもなる噂があります。
ＷＥＢで調べても自分にはわかりませんでした。

だけど、クロウトシコウはサポートも保証もないメーカーです。
安いけど品質の保障はありませんよ。
初期不良の場合は泣いてあきらめてください。

First off, I have been using the eSATA port for a month now and it is working great. Will fill up those three internal ports this weekend and see how it goes.

As for the warranty, it goes like this on the back of the retail box I've got.
- Select series: 1-year warranty (this card is Select series)
- Kiwamono series: No warranty. Only exchange DOA (Dead On Arrival)
No period of time specified for DOA

I had my friend buy this for me, because I needed quick and am working in Asia. Interface cards usually have life-time warranty in the US. Manufacturers usually send a new one if one dies and have user discard bad one himself.

My friend bought this at T-Zone for JPY6980. It would be 1500 cheaper if in the US. Well......
