Like Kazuki1992, I received a model with defects (after 3 weeks ).

The screws were missing, the rubber was not installed properly and the finish was in general not that of a premium model (I was the most expensive model).

I found out about those 3 defects before turning on the machine. Quality controls at HP are clearly not done properly!

I am asking for a reimbursement, because a replacement takes 4 weeks (getting 2 screws takes 2 weeks) after 1 week to control the model I returned. so 8 weeks to get delivered!

I tried negotiating keeping the machine on the condition to get 3 years warranty, but HP only offered a second year.

I return a laptop I never turned on and it will take at best 2 weeks to get reimbursed.

Worst purchase experience! Stay away from this model (and maybe HP).

Shame on you HP!

バスタブ曲線を根拠に3年保証を要求するのも意味不明です。ここで問題になっているのは初期不良であり、それはバスタブ曲線の一番左の、時間と共に不良発見率が下がっていく部分であって、それは3年保証を要求することを正当化しません。むしろ、HPが2年保証を提案したことが寛大すぎて驚きですらあります。

いずれにしても、単なるクレーマーとしか思えない主張で☆1つの評価をするのは、支持されないと思いますよ。

mt99 san, very sorry for replying in English. I could "read" your comment thanks to an extension in Firefox called Rikaichan.

If the controls are not done during and after assembly, the risk increase for the whole lifetime. the second part of the curve being random failures. The curve y axis has a higher minimum than if controls where done properly.
I bought my old laptop for 105000 JPY and it lasted so far 5 years and 6 months, 2 man per year.

Sure, I had to do some small hardware maintenance on it from time to time, most recently a big one (because HP takes 3 weeks to deliver) I had to solder a piece of paperclip inside the power connector because it broke; which is why I bought the HP.

If I purchase a 20man laptop and it last 2 years, it costs me 5 times more...

BTW, received 8 HP pro laptops at the office yesterday; tried only 2, one of them did not start because the adapter wasn't working. Just saying... Those laptops too took 3 weeks to get delivered.

My understanding of HP relation to it's customer is in their new logo.

Anyway, ended up buying a Yoga 920, which was delivered within 3 days.
