I am Taiwanese. I also got the 300D(kiss Digital) on 9/18.
But on camera doesn't show what it made in.
On your kiss , is it the same condition ?

Although I am not sure it is exact same condiotion, I think it is exact same except for lens. I bought one at toronto. Functionally, the body is exact same condition with Japanese one. You are able to use the many types of language (English, Japanese, chinese etc.) on this camera that is the reason why I am thinking it is same. Hopefully you gonna know the truth. Yup, I was aware of it when I did read EOS 300D camera review at dpreview.com.

There is no "made in" print on the bottom where it should be, however,

this shows this is made in Taiwan. And then this website revised and updated it in red. I am sure you are familiar what that say :-)
Well I can't give you an answer, but hope you will enjoy your camera wherever it's made in.

Thanks for your opinion. Yes,I don't care where 300D(kiss Digital) is made in,since it is a good camera, isn't it ? ^^ Actually I only want to know where it is made in. Because In Taiwan, the 300D camera is all the same. You can't find the word "made in xxx" on camera,but find the word "camera : made in Japan , Lens : made in Taiwan." It is strange. Just that.
