F30の購入を検討していて、本日店頭で実機を触ってきました。
1点気になったことがあったのですが、ズーム操作時のスピードが早すぎて、細かい調整ができないように感じました。ズームボタン操作時に
あらかじめ決められてところまで一気に動いてしまし、その中間への
操作ができませんでした。これで不便を感じることはありませんでしょうか？
また、ズーム速度は設定で調整ができたりするのでしょうか？
同機を所有されている方のご回答をいただけるとありがたいです。

Go with an SD model , it is annoying to use the slow XD card .

F30 writes so slow into the card , so the burst mode is so lousy.


FX07 is a good camera despite of whatever people here say , it is a soical snap camera , not a serious camera. The image quality is just fine for a soical camera (think about this kind of compact models as a bit better version of cell phone cameras.)


If you like to control camera manually , then there is A640 , the best appreciated model in US.

This Canon power shot has really excellent image quality and the black like grey body is so sexy.


Also, check out A710 IS , which personally think a smaller and slower version of G7.


When I ordered the G7 in BKK , there was no G7 left there(I am still waiting it),and the store lent me this A710IS until I get my G7.


So I tried many things with this camera , mostly shooting people and flowers...

I would have to say , this A710 IS is an amazingly good model for the price.

You get an optically image stabilized 6Xlens,a decent anti-glare LCD, an optical view finder,an excellent movie mode and full manual control for just USD320.....

Well , if you do not mind using Memory Stick and slow bust mode , the N2 is also an excellent model...

この手のコンデジでの電動ズームって、連続ではなくステップズームが一般的です。
Ｆ３０だと何箇所かは分りませんが、本当にほしい画角で止めるのは不可能かと思います。

細かなステップ数だとズームを一気に望遠までするのに時間がかかったりするし、大まか過ぎると希望の位置にステップがなかったり・・・難しいですね。

でも、F30くらいのステップならば少し体を前後させるという手もありますよ。
コッチの方が早かったりします。

私は焦点距離を決めて自分が動く使い方をしてますのでステップ数は大きな問題と感じてないのもあるかもしれません。

リコーのデジカメのように、ステップズームと通常ズームが選べると
便利ですね。（私は、ステップズームＯＦＦにしてますが）

皆様、親切な回答ありがとうございます。
手元にある数年前のデジカメ（200万画素）が連続ズームだったので
その延長で考えていましたが、世の中進歩していたということですね。
勉強不足でした。
