初デジイチで、どれにしようか迷っていたんですが、この掲示板を見ているうちにE-510に決め、今日やっと買えました。初心者なのでわからない事ばかりですが、一日も早くよい写真が撮れるようにがんばります。

私も２週間前にやっとこすっとこ（財政上）手に入れました。
今までＥ-500を持っていたのですが、これはほとんど使用しないで保湿庫に眠っていました。
今はＥ-510を毎日いじりながら試し撮りしつつ機能操作を勉強中です。
まだ外出撮影はしておりません。

今の心配はオリンパスブルーがどのような色になるのか、です。

あとはＥ-500とＥ-510、２台持ち歩くのは大変だし、どう使い分けるか悩んでいます。

初デジイチ、購入おめでとう御座います。

実は私も、２週間前に衝動買いしてしまいました。
レンズセットで、タイのバンコクでの購入です。
値段は、２９２００バーツ。
もちろん日本国内で買うより高いんですが、
カメラ屋のショールームをから出してもらって、
さわっているうちに財布からお金が出て行ってしまいました。
購入理由は、２つ有りまして、
手ぶれ補正（アル中補正）と、望遠に有利なことです。
２つとも、.comの書き込みからの情報です。
来週、一時帰国するんですが、
田舎のキタムラにレンズ２本も注文してしまいました。
実際に、夕暮れに撮ってみると、
１/１０秒以下でも、アル中振れが止まる確率が高い。
これには、ちょっと驚きです。

　私もデジイチ初心者マークです。
　オリンパスブルーは、納得いっています。
　あと、ノイズリダクションが初期設定の標準とＯＦＦの場合ディテールのくっきり差が顕著に違ってきます。
　私は、昼間はＯＦＦで使用しています。

私も前述のように只今特訓中です。
わからないところを一個一個解明中です。
でも歳が歳なので、直ぐ振り出しに戻ってしまいます。

2 weeks a go ,I bought the E510IS too, I paid about 27800baht for E510IS body,14-42 and 2gb CF card.

I've had Canon 40D and EOS400D but I wanted something small for travel , so I bought this Oly...

But I exchanged it to a Nikon D40X with 18-70DX and AF-S55-200VR because I did not like the Pansonic color, the E510 produced very saturated yellow-ish green and I did hate it.

So if you like the E510 feature set , you should try it before buying it just bring a CF card and shoot something to see you really like the Pana color.

I prefer the Sony sensor on my Nikon or the Canon sensor on my Canon 40D over the Pana MOS sensor on the Oly.

I thought the E510 color would be like the color of my E500 , which is equipped with a Kodak sensor ............. I think Oly should've used the Kodak sensor........

Also, the E510 looks so cool like these old OM cameras , though, it feels odd in my hands , I prefer the Nikon D40X with the 18-200VR or 55-200VR for travel and for serious works I use my Canon cameras with EF-S17-55IS and EF70-200F4L IS , I think nothing can beat the 40D and the EF-S17-55IS combo.......I even prefer my 40D over the 1Dmark 3 , which is a huge camera and I dont like the full frame 5D because I lose some tele photo reach and corner sharpness, also I can not use the EF-S17-55IS on a 5D or 1DS mark 3.

Before buying an Olympus , you guys should check its horrible noise and color at a shop ......I suggest any one to check a Canon or Nikon before an Oly,Sony or Pentax.....These makers make feature-rich cmaeras like the K10D , E510 or A100 but all of them are not as good as any Canon or Nikon body, even the cheapest Canon EOS 400D, in real life use ,beats all of these minority brand cameras hands down. The Oly's AF is too slow with primitive 3 point AF sensors(EOS400D has 9 point sensors just like the 30D) , the Pentax AF is extremely slow without USM or SWM of any kind and its pan cake primes are so lousy only as bright as f3.2 or darker, and they stretch out themselves while focusing.

The Sony A100 has no electronic flash , and so it can not focus in low light , just keeps hunting.

Non of Pentax, Sony or Oly lenses is as good as the cheaap Canon EF85 f1.8 or Nikon AF50 f1.4.

My point is never choose a cmera based on simple paper specs, and you should know why those brands are minoritites.

PS. there is no shop carrying the Alpha A100 in BKK.

In Asia , you won't see any Oly or Pentax lens at all , there are always only Canon and Nikon lenses stored here.

I used the Alpha for a month in last year , but I could never get any other lens than the kit lens, so I traded in for my EOS30D.
